How to make a wedding countdown

  1. Enter your wedding date and, if you like, the ceremony time.
  2. Rename the countdown to your names, for example "Sam & Alex's wedding".
  3. Watch the live days, hours, minutes and seconds, and share the link or image with family, friends and your wedding party.

Make the most of the countdown

A shared countdown builds excitement and helps everyone keep the date in mind. Post it in the family group chat, add the link to your wedding website or save-the-date message, and use it as a planning timeline. Common milestones: book the venue and photographer 12โ€“18 months before; send save-the-dates 6โ€“8 months out (longer for destination weddings); send invitations 6โ€“8 weeks before; confirm final numbers with caterers about two weeks before; and pick up the dress or suit in the final week.

The date and name are stored in the page link itself, so anyone who opens it sees the same countdown in their own time zone. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server, and there is no account to create. The countdown also remembers your date on this device, so you can bookmark it.
