When is Thanksgiving?
US Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November, so the date moves between 22 and 28 November. In 2026 it is on Thursday 26 November, and in 2027 on 25 November. The countdown calculates the date for you each year. Canadian Thanksgiving is on the second Monday of October; enter that date under "Change the event" if you are in Canada.
Planning tips: a frozen turkey needs about one day in the fridge for every 2 kg (4–5 lb) to thaw, so a 7 kg bird should go in the fridge the Sunday before.
