About bubble text
Bubble text uses Unicode's "enclosed alphanumerics": letters and numbers drawn inside circles, such as Ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ. There are outlined versions for upper and lowercase letters and the numbers 0 to 20, and solid black circled capitals, which stand out boldly. Squared letters, in the same family, give a blocky sign-like effect. They are fun for usernames, bios, playful captions and decorating messages.
Letters without a circled form, such as accented letters, stay plain. The appearance varies between devices: some phones show solid circled letters in colour like emoji. As with all decorative Unicode, screen readers may read each character as "circled letter b", so keep essential information in normal text. For drawing bubble letters for posters, try a bubble font in a design tool or our Text to Handwriting page for a hand-drawn look.
