How to make fancy text
- Type your text in the box: a name, a bio line, a caption or a username.
- It appears instantly in more than 20 styles: bold, italic, cursive, gothic, double-struck, monospace, small caps, bubble letters, squares, full-width, strikethrough, underline and cursed Zalgo text.
- Tap Copy next to the style you like and paste it anywhere that accepts text.
How "fonts" work in plain text
Social networks do not let you choose fonts, but Unicode, the standard that defines every character computers can display, includes complete alphabets of mathematical letters in bold, italic, script, Fraktur and other styles, as well as circled, squared and full-width letters. This tool swaps each ordinary letter for its stylised Unicode twin, so the result is still plain text that you can paste into Instagram bios, TikTok captions, X posts, Discord nicknames, YouTube comments and WhatsApp messages. Strikethrough and underline add combining characters on top of each letter.
Use fancy text thoughtfully
Screen readers read these characters as mathematical symbols ("mathematical bold capital H…") or skip them, and search engines and platform search may not match them to normal words. Use styled text for a few words of emphasis or decoration, not for whole posts, important information or hashtags. Some older devices show empty boxes for the rarer styles. Everything is generated in your browser.
How do I get bold text on Instagram?
Type your text here, copy the Bold style and paste it into your Instagram bio or caption.
Why do some letters look different or missing?
Unicode does not include every letter in every style (for example, superscript q) and some fonts lack rare characters. Those letters are left unchanged or shown as boxes.
Are these real fonts?
No. They are special Unicode characters that look like styled letters, which is why they work anywhere you can paste text.
