Choosing a watermark style
A small, semi-transparent mark in a corner (40–60% opacity, 15–20% of the width) protects your credit without spoiling the picture, and suits portfolios and social media. Anyone can crop a corner mark away, though. For proofs you send to clients, or product photos that get copied, use a large tiled watermark at 20–35% opacity, rotated around −30°. Size is relative to the image width, so the watermark looks the same on every photo in a batch, whatever its resolution.
White text with a soft shadow is readable on both light and dark areas. A logo saved as a transparent PNG looks cleaner than one with a white box around it.
Your photos stay private
Watermarking runs in your browser with the Canvas API, at the full original resolution. Nothing is uploaded, which matters when the reason you are watermarking is to protect the images.
Can a watermark be removed?
Corner watermarks can be cropped, and AI tools can sometimes paint over simple marks. A tiled watermark across the subject is much harder to remove cleanly.
Does watermarking reduce quality?
PNG files stay lossless. JPEG files are saved at 92% quality, which is visually identical for photos.
Can I watermark many photos at once?
Yes. Drop a whole folder's worth of images; the same settings are applied to every one and you can download them as a ZIP.
