What a one hour timer is good for
A one-hour timer covers deep work sessions, timed exams, parking meters, slow-cooked dishes and the laundry cycle. Many people set an hourly reminder to stand up and move, since long periods of sitting are linked to health risks. Students use 60-minute blocks for past papers, and cooks for roasting chicken pieces or proving dough.
The countdown is measured against the clock, so it stays accurate in a background tab, and the remaining time shows in the tab title. Need a different length? Tap one of the quick times or type your own. Everything runs in your browser with no app or sign-up.
