What a ten minutes timer is good for
Ten minutes is long enough to get something real done and short enough to start without dread: a homework sprint, a quick tidy, a short meditation or a 10-minute HIIT workout. A 10-minute power nap can refresh you without the grogginess of a longer sleep. Teachers use it for reading time and timed tests, and speakers for practising a short talk.
The countdown is measured against the clock, so it stays accurate in a background tab, and the remaining time shows in the tab title. Need a different length? Tap one of the quick times or type your own. Everything runs in your browser with no app or sign-up.
FAQ
Is a 10-minute nap good?
Short naps of about 10 to 20 minutes can improve alertness without the grogginess of deeper sleep.
Will the alarm go off if my phone screen locks?
Keep the screen on for the alarm to sound reliably; many phones pause web pages when locked. The timer tries to keep the screen awake while it runs.
Can I pause the timer?
Yes. Press Pause and then Resume. Reset starts it again from ten minutes.
