What a one minute timer is good for
A one-minute timer is perfect for Minute to Win It party games, timed reading fluency checks (words read per minute), elevator-pitch practice, one-minute meditation breaks and quick stretches between meetings. Teachers use it for fast-paced quiz rounds and clean-up challenges. Because the display is huge in full screen, the whole room can see the seconds run down.
The countdown is measured against the clock, so it stays accurate in a background tab, and the remaining time shows in the tab title. Need a different length? Tap one of the quick times or type your own. Everything runs in your browser with no app or sign-up.
FAQ
What can I do in one minute?
A quick stretch, a mindful breathing break, a speed quiz round or a one-minute speech. Start it and see how far you get.
Will the alarm go off if my phone screen locks?
Keep the screen on for the alarm to sound reliably; many phones pause web pages when locked. The timer tries to keep the screen awake while it runs.
Can I pause the timer?
Yes. Press Pause and then Resume. Reset starts it again from one minute.
