What a twenty-five minutes timer is good for

Twenty-five minutes is the classic Pomodoro: work on one task with no distractions until the timer rings, then take a five-minute break. After four Pomodoros, take a longer 15–30 minute break. The fixed length helps you start, protects you from interruptions and makes progress countable. For automatic breaks and session stats, use the full Pomodoro timer.

The countdown is measured against the clock, so it stays accurate in a background tab, and the remaining time shows in the tab title. Need a different length? Tap one of the quick times or type your own. Everything runs in your browser with no app or sign-up.

FAQ

Why 25 minutes?

It is the session length Francesco Cirillo used in the Pomodoro Technique: long enough for real progress, short enough to stay focused.

Will the alarm go off if my phone screen locks?

Keep the screen on for the alarm to sound reliably; many phones pause web pages when locked. The timer tries to keep the screen awake while it runs.

Can I pause the timer?

Yes. Press Pause and then Resume. Reset starts it again from twenty-five minutes.
