How to convert text to handwriting
- Type or paste your text: a note, a letter, a quote or a page of notes.
- Choose a handwriting style, paper (lined, squared, plain or old paper), ink colour and size.
- Use the Messiness slider to make each letter wobble slightly, like real writing, and press Re-roll for a different variation.
- Download the page as a PNG image to share, print or add to a design.
Making it look natural
Computer text looks perfect because every letter is identical. Real handwriting is not: letters sit slightly above or below the line, lean a little and vary in spacing and ink. This tool draws your text letter by letter on a canvas and adds small random changes to position, angle and darkness, controlled by the Messiness slider. Low settings look neat; higher settings look like a quick note. The handwriting styles are free Google Fonts, from tidy print (Kalam, Indie Flower) to joined-up script (Dancing Script, Homemade Apple).
Good uses include handwritten-style greeting cards, scrapbooks, social media posts, mock-ups, school projects about letters and diaries, and quotes for presentations. Please do not use it to pass off typed work as handwritten where handwriting is required, such as assignments a teacher asked you to write by hand.
Your text is rendered in your browser; only the font files are downloaded from Google Fonts.
Can I print the handwriting?
Yes. Download the PNG and print it; the page is A4-shaped and grows longer for long text.
Why does the text look like a normal font?
The handwriting font could not load, usually because of a blocked connection. A fallback font is used instead; reload to try again.
Does it support other languages?
Most styles cover Western European letters. Nanum Pen Script also covers Korean.
