How to pick a color from an image
- Drop an image on the box above, or tap to choose a photo, logo or screenshot.
- Move your pointer over the image to preview colors, then click or tap to pick one.
- Copy it as HEX (like #1E88E5), RGB or HSL. Your last 16 picks appear as swatches; tap a swatch to copy it again.
Getting the exact color
The picker reads the single pixel under your pointer from a copy of the image up to 1200 pixels wide. That is ideal for matching a brand color from a logo, finding the paint color of a wall in a photo, or grabbing colors from a screenshot of a website or app to reuse in your own design.
Photos contain noise and shading, so neighbouring pixels can differ slightly. Pick a few points in the same area and choose the one that looks most representative. JPEG compression can shift colors by a few values, so if you have the original PNG or SVG of a logo, use that for exact matches. Colors are reported in sRGB, the standard for the web.
The image stays on your device: everything happens in the browser. Below the picker you also get a histogram showing the brightness and color balance of the whole image.
