How to split a PDF
- Drop a PDF on the box or tap to choose one.
- Choose how to split it: by custom ranges (for example
1-3, 4-10, 11-makes three files), every page into its own file, every N pages, or selected pages combined into one new PDF. - Check the plan line, which lists the files that will be created, then press Split PDF.
- Download each file, or all of them at once as a ZIP.
Ranges explained
Separate ranges with commas. 5 is a single page, 2-4 is pages 2 to 4, 8- means page 8 to the end, and -3 means the first three pages. In "custom ranges" mode each comma-separated part becomes its own file; in "selected pages into one PDF" mode they are all combined, in the order you type them, so 3, 1, 2 also reorders pages.
Typical uses: splitting a scanned stack of documents back into individual letters, separating chapters of a book or report, sending only the relevant pages of a contract, or breaking a large file into parts small enough to email or upload to a portal with a size limit.
Fast, lossless and private
Pages are copied without re-compression, so quality, text and links are preserved. The splitting runs in your browser using an open-source PDF library: your file is never uploaded, there are no page or size limits beyond your device's memory, and no watermarks.
How do I split a PDF into single pages?
Choose "Every page into its own PDF", press Split PDF, then use Download all (ZIP).
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Remove the password first by opening the PDF with the password and saving a copy without protection.
Will the split files be smaller?
Usually yes, though shared resources such as fonts are copied into each file, so the parts can add up to more than the original.
