How to merge PDF files

  1. Drop your PDF files on the box, or tap it to choose them. You can add more files at any time.
  2. Put the files in the order you want with the ↑ and ↓ arrows. Remove any you do not need with ✕.
  3. Optionally type which pages to take from each file, such as 1-3, 5, to combine only parts of documents. Leave it blank to include every page.
  4. Press Merge PDFs and download the combined file.

Private PDF merging

Most online PDF tools upload your documents to their servers, which is a real concern for contracts, bank statements, medical letters and ID documents. This tool runs entirely in your browser: the PDF library is downloaded to your device, and your files are read, combined and saved locally. Nothing is uploaded, there is no file size limit beyond your device's memory, and there are no watermarks or sign-ups.

Pages are copied exactly, so text stays selectable and searchable, links and page sizes are preserved, and the quality does not change. Mixed page sizes and orientations are fine: each page keeps its own size. Bookmarks (outlines) and interactive form fields from the original files may not be carried over; fill in forms before merging if you need to keep the answers.

Common uses include combining scanned pages into one document, putting a cover letter in front of a CV, assembling invoices or receipts for an expense claim, and joining chapters into a single file for printing.

Is there a limit on the number or size of files?

No fixed limit. Dozens of files and hundreds of pages merge fine on a typical computer or phone; very large files depend on your device's memory.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Not directly. Open the file in a PDF reader with the password and save or print a copy without protection, then merge that copy.

Will the merged PDF lose quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, without re-compressing text or images.
