How to make a phone wallpaper

  1. Choose your device so the wallpaper has exactly the right resolution: recent iPhones, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones, iPads and common desktop screens.
  2. Pick a style: mesh gradient, linear gradient, radial glow, aurora waves or solid colour. Set the three colours or press 🎲 for a random harmonious set and layout.
  3. Optionally add a short quote or word, choose a font and position, and keep the subtle film grain that prevents gradient banding.
  4. Download the PNG and set it as your lock or home screen in your phone's settings.

Wallpapers that fit

A wallpaper made at your screen's native resolution looks sharp and does not get awkwardly cropped or stretched. The middle text position sits below the lock-screen clock on most phones, and text is wrapped to stay within safe margins. Smooth gradients can show visible bands on some screens; a touch of grain breaks those bands up, the same trick used by designers and photographers.

Everything is drawn on a canvas in your browser at full resolution. Nothing is uploaded, there are no watermarks, and the designs are yours to use. If your exact model is not listed, choose one with the same aspect ratio; phones crop and scale wallpapers slightly for parallax effects anyway.

How do I set the wallpaper on iPhone?

Save the image to Photos, then go to Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper → Photos.

What resolution is an iPhone 16 Pro wallpaper?

1179 × 2556 pixels.

Why add grain?

It hides colour banding in smooth gradients on 8-bit screens.
