How to find anagrams
- Type the word or letters you want to rearrange, for example "listen".

About anagrams
An anagram is a word or phrase made by rearranging all the letters of another, like "evil" and "live" or "dormitory" and "dirty room". They are a staple of cryptic crosswords, where clue words such as "confused", "broken" or "wild" hint that letters need shuffling, as well as of word games, puzzle hunts and writers' pen names. Spotting them in your head is hard because the number of arrangements grows fast: a seven-letter word has 5,040 orderings.
This solver checks your letters against an English dictionary of over 60,000 words, including plurals and verb forms, so it answers instantly. Use a question mark as a blank tile when one letter is unknown. It finds single-word anagrams; multi-word phrase anagrams are not included. For Scrabble-style play with scores, use the full Word Unscrambler.
