FAQ Schema Generator

Create FAQPage JSON-LD from your questions and answers

JSON-LD

Paste the script into your page's <head> or <body>, then check it with Google's Rich Results Test.

    How to create FAQ schema

    1. Type each question and its answer. Use + Add for more and Remove to delete one.
    2. The FAQPage JSON-LD updates as you type, with every question as a Question and its acceptedAnswer.
    3. Copy the script and paste it into the page that shows these questions and answers.
    4. Validate it with Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator.

    When to use FAQPage markup

FAQPage schema describes a list of questions and answers written by the site owner, such as a support page, a product FAQ or a "frequently asked questions" section at the end of an article. The questions and answers must be visible on the page; marking up hidden or invented content breaks Google's guidelines.

Since 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results mainly for well-known government and health websites, so most sites will no longer see the expandable questions in search results. The markup is still worthwhile: it is valid schema.org, other search engines and AI answer engines read it to understand your content, and it costs nothing to keep. Do not use FAQPage for forums or pages where users submit answers; use QAPage for those.

Answers can contain simple HTML such as links, lists and bold text. The generator runs in your browser.

    FAQ

Where do I add FAQ schema?

Paste the JSON-LD script into the HTML of the page it describes, usually in the head. Most CMSs and SEO plugins have a field or block for custom code.

Will FAQ schema guarantee rich results?

No. Valid markup makes a page eligible, but Google decides per search whether to show a rich result. Check Search Console for errors and eligibility.

How many questions should I include?

Mark up every question shown on the page. There is no fixed limit, but keep the FAQ genuinely useful rather than padded.
