Kitchen Timer

Several named cooking timers at once, with alarms

No timers yet. Tap a preset or add your own; you can run several at once.

How to use the kitchen timer

  1. Tap a preset such as soft-boiled egg, pasta or rice, or type a name and a time (5:00, 45 for 45 minutes, or 1:30:00) and press Add timer.
  2. Add as many timers as you need; each runs on its own card with a progress bar.
  3. Pause, add a minute or delete a timer at any time. When one finishes, it beeps, flashes and shows in the tab title until you stop it.

Several timers at once

Cooking a full meal means juggling the roast, the potatoes, the vegetables and the sauce. A single egg timer is not enough, so this page lets you run any number of named timers side by side. The remaining time is calculated from the clock, not by counting ticks, so timers stay accurate even if your phone throttles a background tab. Timers are saved in this browser too: if you reload the page or close it by accident, they keep running and finish at the right time.

For the alarm to sound, keep the page open in a tab and your device volume up. Phones may pause pages when the screen locks, so for long cooks it helps to keep the screen on. Typical times: soft-boiled eggs 6 minutes (runny yolk), medium 8, hard 10 from boiling water; dried pasta 8โ€“12 minutes; white rice about 18 minutes covered; let roast meat rest 10โ€“20 minutes before carving. Everything runs in your browser with no sign-up.

Will the timer ring if I switch tabs?

Yes, as long as the page stays open. The title of the tab also shows the time left.

Can I name my timers?

Yes. Type a name before adding, such as "Potatoes" or "Bread proof".

Do timers survive a page reload?

Yes. They are saved in your browser and keep counting.
