Turn a PDF into carousel images for Instagram or LinkedIn

Render each page of your PDF at 300 dpi, fit it onto a 1080 × 1350 portrait canvas without cropping, save each page as a sharp JPEG and download them all as one ZIP, ready to post as an Instagram carousel or a LinkedIn multi-image post. Text stays crisp because the pages are rendered large and then scaled down with a Lanczos filter.

Every step runs in your browser; your files are not uploaded.

Steps

  1. Render the pages

Choose the PDF. The format is set to PNG and the resolution to 300 dpi, so text and lines are rendered with plenty of detail before scaling. Leave Pages blank for all pages, or type a range such as 1-8. Press Convert to images, then Use all pages to send every page on.

  2. Fit the pages to the carousel shape

The size is set to 1080 × 1350 (4:5) with Fit inside, so the whole page is kept and any gap is filled with the background colour (white by default). The buttons switch to 1080 × 1440 for a taller 3:4 post or 1080 × 1080 for square; choose Crop to fill if your slides already have that shape. Press Download.

Open as a full tool: Instagram Image Resizer

  3. Save as JPEG

Each slide is saved as a JPEG at quality 90, which keeps small text clean. Press Download all.

Open as a full tool: Image Compressor

  4. Download one ZIP

Create the ZIP. The file names keep the page numbers, so the slides stay in order when you add them to the post.

FAQ

What size are carousel images?

1080 pixels wide. 1080 × 1350 (4:5) is the common portrait size; Instagram's help centre says it keeps photos up to 3:4, which is 1080 × 1440.

Can I post the PDF itself on LinkedIn instead?

Yes. LinkedIn also accepts PDF documents up to 100 MB and 300 pages, according to its help centre. These images are for posts made of photos, and for Instagram, which does not take PDFs.

Why are the pages rendered at 300 dpi first?

Rendering large and then scaling down to 1080 pixels gives sharper text than rendering straight at 1080 pixels.
