About glitch art

Glitch art turns digital errors into an aesthetic: misaligned colour channels, torn video lines and compression artefacts. It became a staple of vaporwave and synthwave graphics, music covers, posters and social media edits. This tool recreates the look by shifting the red channel one way and the blue channel the other (the chromatic aberration you see when a signal is out of sync), cutting random horizontal strips and offsetting them, then darkening every third line like a CRT and adding grain.

Effects are deterministic for each random seed, so what you see is exactly what you download. Strong glitches look best on high-contrast portraits and neon-lit scenes; subtle settings work well for album art and thumbnails. Processing happens in your browser at up to 1600 px, and the photo never leaves your device.
